The Westerwald is a paradise for dog owners, and almost all hiking trails are ideal for hiking with dogs. Whether you prefer relaxed walks in the forest or challenging mountain hikes, your dog can share the Westerwald adventure with you.
Special information about hiking with dogs
Caution is advised on certain routes, as the rocks and roots can be challenging for clumsy or very large dogs. Please also note that dogs must be kept on a leash in nature reserves and always carry sufficient drinking water with you.
